Biography

Kempner Scott attended schools in Arkansas and Louisiana. He Graduated from Hot Springs, Arkansas High School in 1943. Kempner went to Utah and worked in a factory about two years during 1943 and '44. He and Marjorie Jewell were married in 1944 at Eugene, Oregon. Marjorie is a native of Arkansas. Kempner attended Arkansas University and graduated in June, 1948 with a Bachelors Degree in Geology. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Kempner was'hired'by an Oil Company prior to graduation and for these years since , this family has lived in various states that he was assigned to work in. They are now in Houston, Texas, where Kempner is Head of Geological Research for the Houston Exxon Office. He has been on several assignments out of Continental United States, and Marjorie went to Europe with him in 1969 and '74. Their children have graduated from various High Schools and attended various Colleges. Kempner and Marjorie J. are the parents of four daughters. She is a devoted wife and mother.
