George was born in 1894. He was the son of Arundell Scott and Lucie Harris.
He was baptised on 9 August 1894 at St John's in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia, where his father was working as a Farmer[1].When the 1st World War broke out George was single and living in Bombay, Auckland, New Zealand. He enlisted and served as a Gunner in the New Zealand Field Artillery 4th Reinforcements. His next of kin was recorded as Mrs C. Thomas (sister), Whangarei, North Auckland, New Zealand. Service Number: 2/1198
EMBARKATION DETAILS: 17 April 1915 from Wellington, New Zealand. HMNZT 21 or HMNZT 22 or HMNZT 23. Vessel was Willochra or Knight Templar or Waitomo.
Sadly George contracted meningitis and died at sea on 21 November 1915 on board the HMHS Delta, ex Gallipoli. He was just 21 years of age.
