Dorothy Jean Scott (married name Colyer) was born on 16 December 1895 in New Zealand, the daughter of Mary Emily (Campbell) Scott and Charles Edward Stewart Scott.^[1]

She married Alan Vaughn Colyer in 1923 in Victoria, Australia.^{[citation needed]} They had four children.^{[citation needed]}

Dorothy died in 1989 in Leongatha, Victoria, aged 93 years.^[2]
