Biography

Eleanor was born about 1725-1728 in Lancaster, Massachusetts,[1] the daughter of the Scot-Irish immigrant Alexander Scott.

She met and married Arthur Graham (aka Grimes) of Londonderry, NH, after 28 Mar 1746 in Lancaster, Worcester, MA. They had 6 children: Jenit, William, Samuel, Eleanor, Janet and Jane. Two of their children died early and are buried in the Hill Cemetery of Londonderry.[2]

After the death of her husband in 1759, Eleanor applied for the administration of his estate.[3] In 1778, Eleanor and her son William signed a petition to have their Londonderry land annexed to Nottingham West.[4] That same year, Eleanor sold a portion of the property to her daughters[5] and to her son William.[6]

In her will dated Jul 1786, she listed her living heirs: son William, her son-in-law James Rickey, her daughter Eleanor Eastman and husband Zachariah Eastman; her grandchildren: Ann Rickey, Janet Rickey and William Rickey.[7]
