No records listing the parentage of John Scott or the children of his apparent father, Arthur Scott, have been identified. However, DAR records for Arthur Scott show 19 memberships based on the claim that John Scott was the son of Arthur Scott. Similarly, SAR records show 6 memberships based on that relationship.
Find A Grave gives a date of death later in 1846, but does not provide a source for the specific date. The date used here, 6 Sep 1846, is supported by the Dover Monthly Meeting Records cited below.
