Biography

"By at least May of 1868, he had been appointed by President Andrew Johnson, as a Consul General to Matamoras, Mexico. I have proofs from: Local History and Genealogy, Library of Congress.

He had another child, Frances La Rita Scott born in 1868, married a James R. Hendrix in McNairy but she died of tuberculosis in 1911 in San Antonio, Texas, burial place unknown for sure; tuberculosis may have also taken her father's life and did a half-brother's, James W. Scott.
