Biography

Charles G. Scott was born 20 November 1857 in Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois, the son of Lemuel Scott. [1]

He died 2 April 1943 in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan, where he had been living for a year and a half. The cause of death was cerebral thrombosis. [2] An obituary was printed in an Omaha, Nebraska, newspaper a week later: [3]

Charles G. Scott, 85, died last Friday in Flint, Mich. He was a former Omaha resident and was in the merchandise brokerage business. Survivors: Widow, Minnie; sons, Howard L., Bellingham, Wash.; Lawrence I., Pontiac, Mich.; R. Bruce, Flint; sisters, Clara L., Galesburg, Ill.; Myrtle, New York City; six grandchildren. Services, 2 p. m. at the Fitch, McEachron and Cole mortuary. Burial: Forest Lawn.
