Thomas was born in 1846 in Coombas, Western Australia.[1] He is the son of Frederick Scott and Mary Dawson.
He married Mary Adams (widow - nee Smith) on 24 October 1878 at Busselton.[2] They did not have children.
Scott was a farmer at Quindalup in the 1879-1889 AImanacs and a teamster. He employed a Ticket of Leave man in 1868 at Preston.[2]

Mr. Thomas Scott, a well-known resident of Kirup, died in the Government Hospital, Bunbury on January 15 at the age of 84 years. He was buried in the Anglican portion of the Bunbury cemetery on January 16, Bishop Wilson officiating. Born in Busselton, deceased had recently lived with his brother, Mr. William Scott, of Kirup. His wife predeceased him by many years and he had no family. A number of friends attended the funeral and the pall bearers were Messrs. H. T., R. L., and W. Delaporte and Messrs. W. J. and W. Harwood.[3]
