Ronald W. Scott, 78, of Leesburg, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Highland County on Aug. 18, 1935, the son of the late Mack and Mary (Eakins) Scott. Besides his parents, he was preceded by two brothers, Keith Scott and Kent Scott; brother-in-law, Harold Robison; and sister-in-law, Donna Scott. Ronald was a graduate of Marshall High School and Wilmington College. He also taught in the Bright Local School District and Hillsboro City Schools for 32 years. He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Grover) Scott, whom he married July 12, 1964; son, Don Scott of Centerville; brother, Randell Scott of Leesburg; sisters, Kathleen (Ervin) Griffith of Hillsboro, Karlene Robison of Upper Arlington and Rita (John) Faris of Washington C.H.; sister-in-law, Katherine Scott of Grove City; and several nieces and nephews. On behalf of Ronald's wishes, he is to be cremated. No visitation or services will be held at this time.
