Research Notes

The following comment from Honi Kleine was posted on the WikiTree profile of Sarah (Scott) Summerville. Do not reply to this e-mail. Chancery suit filed against the heirs of Capt. James Scott. He had no daughter Sarah living by this date. Fetterly-28 23:14, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

I believe she is connected to the correct parent. There could have been more than one James Scott that might cause confusion. Fetterly-28 23:14, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

According to The Family of Sarah Scott Summerville, Sarah Scott was the daughter of James Scott and the granddaughter of Rev. James Scott, but this seems unlikely. The elder Scotts both lived in Virginia and don't appear to have any connection to this Sarah Scott, who was from Pennsylvania.
