Gertrude was born in 1899[1][3] in Langthorpe[1], Yorkshire. She was the daughter of Maria (Reynard)[1][3] and John Scott[1].
The Scott family settled in Pickhill, Yorkshire where Gertrude was to live for the remainder of her life[3].
Gertrude married William Clarke[3] in Q1 1920[2] in Thirsk registration district, likely at Pickhill.
Gertrude and William had three children: Evelyn Mary "Mary" (1923 - 2022)[3], Thomas Edwin "Edwin" (1925 - X) and William Henry "Henry" (1926 - X).
William was a dairy farmer and the Clarke family lived and farmed at Highthorn, Pickhill[3].
She died in 1980.
