Gertrude (Scott) Clarke was born in Langthorpe, Yorkshire, England.

Gertrude was born in 1899^[1][3] in Langthorpe^[1], Yorkshire. She was the daughter of Maria (Reynard)^[1][3] and John Scott^[1].

The Scott family settled in Pickhill, Yorkshire where Gertrude was to live for the remainder of her life^[3].

Gertrude married William Clarke^[3] in Q1 1920^[2] in Thirsk registration district, likely at Pickhill.

Gertrude and William had three children: Evelyn Mary "Mary" (1923 - 2022)^[3], Thomas Edwin "Edwin" (1925 - X) and William Henry "Henry" (1926 - X).

William was a dairy farmer and the Clarke family lived and farmed at Highthorn, Pickhill^[3].

She died in 1980.
