Biography

Arthur Scoville, son of Stephen, was born about 1710 probably in Lyme, Connecticut.[1]

He married Phoebe Willey, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Harvey) Willey.[1]

Arthur died on 1 June 1761 in East Haddam, Connecticut.[1]

Arthur's will was probated in 1761 in Hartford, Connecticut. His executors were Abner Scovil and John Willey, his son and brother-in-law. He left property and land to his widow, and also Sarah, Abner, and marrah (Mary).

At that time, his daughters Sarah & Mary were probably single, his daughter Phoebe was married, and his son Arthur had gone to Nova Scotia.
