Biography

Abraham was born 10 Sep 1754 ^[1] He was the son of Capt Ichabod Scranton and Chloe Fowler.

Abraham Scranton and Lucy Stone were married 26 Nov 1778 in Guilford, Connecticut by the Rev. Jonathan Todd.^[2][3] At that time Madison was a Society and part of Guilford. Rev Jonathan Todd was pastor of the First Church in East Guilford, which was, in1845, Madison.^[4]

Lucy was born 9 Mar 1757, the daughter of Deacon Thomas Stone.^[5] She died at age 87 on 3 Apr 1854 in Madison, Connecticut.^[6][7]

He died 24 Feb 1844.^[8][9]

The Abraham Scranton house is a recognized historical home in Madison. ^[10]
