He was living with his parents in North Branford in 1850, and 1860.[3][4]
He appeared twice in the 1870 census: on 1 June 1870 in North Branford in the household of his parents working as a joiner[5] and on 9 Jun 1870 in Middlefield, Middlesex County, Connecticut working as a joiner living in the household of William Bristol, a carriage maker, and Lucy Bristol.[6]
He married Martha Jennette Crowell, daughter of Nelson T. Crowell,[1] about 1871. He was a wagon maker, and moved to North Farms, Wallingford in 1873.[1]
In 1880, he was living in Wallingford, Connecticut with wife Martha Jennette, daughters Grace and Alice and his father Martin.[7]
Luther and his family lived in Wallingford.[8][9][10]
He registered for the Connecticut Military Census on 27 Feb 1917 in Wallingford.[11] He was married, working as a machinist. He had previously been a carriage maker. He had lost 2 fingers off his right hand.
He died in 1931 in Wallingford, Connecticut.[12][13][14]
