Biography

Hannah was born in 1735, the oldest child of Edward and Rachel (Webster) Scribner, in Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, where she was raised.

On December 14, 1762, Hannah married Richard Clifford, the son of William and Sarah (Towle) Clifford, in the Kingston First Church, Kingston, New Hampshire. Both Hannah's and Richard's families were from Kingston. Richard was four years younger than Hannah. They would settle in Acworth, Sullivan County, New Hampshire, and have the following children:

Edward Clifford (1765- )

Benjamin Clifford (Circa 1770- )

Richard Clifford (Circa 1775- )

One source has Hannah passing away on April 30,1821. That would be almost one year after Richard died on June 22, 1820, both in Acworth, New Hampshire.

I'm not sure that Hannah is in this family, at least by this mother, if there was another marriage for Edward. They were married on 8 May 1735 according to actual documentation. Six month babies were frowned upon to say the least. No document that I can yet find lists Hannah. Do you have something?
