Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, to Edward and Carrie (Davie) Scribner, Warren would become a lawyer and serve as a private in the Massachusetts State Militia. By 1930 Warren had married Roma Glyde Gale and settled in Minnesota. Together they would have at least two children, a daughter, Gale A. Scribner, born in 1927 and a son Peter Scribner who was born and died in 1934.
Warren would die at 48 years of age in 1936.
