William Clapp Scribner was the ninth and youngest child of Benjamin F. and Annie (Maginness) Scribner, born in 1871. William was not well. He never married and would be committed to an asylum in Jefferson Kentucky where he would live out his days, passing away in 1917 at the age of 46.
