Biography

Uriah Scribner was born on May 29, 1753, in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut; died in of, New York City, New York. Notes: Records of St. St. Paul's Church, Norwalk, Conn., 1886, state that he was a pew holder there in the previous century and later moved to New York city, where he became a merchant. (A History of the Scribner Family, pg. 52)

There is no evidence that Uriah ever married or had children. It is estimated he died in New York City in around 1800.
