Biography
Maria was baptised on 20 March 1808 in Brierley Hill, Staffordshire, England by parents William and Mary. [1]
On 16 June 1828 George Mantle and Maria Scriven married in Tipton, Staffordshire. [2]
In 1841 George and Maria were living in Kingswinford, Staffordshire with 5 children. George was something to do with Stone! He wasn't born in Staffordshire although Maria was. [3]
Maria died in 1876 and is buried with George in Missouri in the 'Mantle Family Farm Cemetery'[5]
Note on findagrave.com page: buried on their property, farm near Vosholl. I understand that the owners threw their tombstones in a gully. There used to be a nice wrought iron fence around their tombstones.
