Biography
Mary Ann Scriven was baptised on 12 Jan 1840 in Long Sutton, Somerset, England[1][2]. Her parents were John Scriven and Eliza (Kerle) Scriven .
Mary married Valentine Grinter on 5 Jan 1860 in Long Sutton, Somerset, England. Valentine was "full age", a bachelor, working as a labourer, son of William Grinter, labourer. Mary was 20, a spinster, daughter of John Scriven, labourer. Both were living at Long Sutton at the time of their marriage. Witnesses were John Hill & Elizabeth Scriven.[3]
Mary died in 1914 aged 74. [4]
