Goochland Co., VA deed Book 8, p 346. 26 Nov 1762. Mathew Nightingale to Julius Scruggs.

Pittsylvania Co, VA: Harbern (?), Elijah - Uncertain of last name. Inv/App by Julius Scruggs, Jas. & Wm. Edwards. A note said this is recorded in Deed Book 1770, pg 439.

"Henry County, VA Will Abstracts" Vol I 1777-1820; page 4. Abstracted by Lela Adams; Southern Press; 1985. Julius Scruggs is listed in the accounts due in the inventory and appraisal of Silvanus Webb's estate dated 12 Feb 1777. Julius qualified as a constable in Pittsylvania Co. in March 1770. The part of Pittsylvania Co in which he lived became Henry Co. 1793, Columbia Co., GA. Columbia County,GA Deed Book B page 256. Julius Scruggs do make my friend Joseph Bradberry my lawful attorney to claim a judgment against Enoch Gregsby in Henry County Court, Virginia for sum of 200 pounds current money of Virginia Jan. 2, 1793. The heirs of Julius Scruggs dec'd the brother of James Scruggs dec'd late of the County of Goochland and state of Virginia sale land to Archibald Bryce for $3600. The heirs were James Scruggs, Richard Scruggs, Richard Griffin & Sally his wife, Nancy Griffin widow of William Griffin dec'd, Ezekial Howard & Fanny his wife & Leonard Huff and Elizabeth his wife.
