The family probably lived in Haywood County for about 30 years. They were living there in the 1830,[5]
1840,[6]
and 1850 censuses.[3]
Sometime before 1860, the Mingus family moved to Hartville, Wright County, Missouri, where they were enumerated in the census living on a farm.[7]
Sarah was widowed about 1865 at the age of 60.[4]
She died on 3 August 1892 at Wright County, Missouri,
and was buried there at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Odin.[2][4]
