Joel Seago, son of Joseph Seago and Martha (Lindsey) Seago, and was born on 12 Dec. 1812 in Anson County, South Carolina.[1][2]
He married Martha Gulledge Hayes, daughter of Elias "Ely" Hayes and Mary (Gulledge) Hayes, about 1843.[1][2]
Joel died about March 1880 in Tishomingo County, Mississippi[1] and was buried at Mount Gilead Cemetery, Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi. His memorial has a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.[2]
