Mary was born in 1860[1] but due to the unreliability of records in rural areas some sources cite 1859 as her birth year. Her death certificate[2] and the 1860 census[3] give her birth year as 1860, but her headstone and marriage record [4] incorrectly give 1859 as her birth year.
She was the daughter of John Seal and Caroline Good.
She passed away in 1936 at age 79 from senile disability and organic heart disease[5] .
