Thomas, son of Michael and Sarah Cox, and Martha, daughter of Joseph Seale and Jane Lutterall were married on 18 March 1868 in St. George's Church, Granby. Witnesses were Sarah A. Cox and Edward Seale[1].
In 1871 Thomas was 35, a Carpenter. He and Martha, 25 were living in Brome, Quebec with their children: Joseph Cox, 2 and Ida Jane Cox, 6 months[2].
Frank Cox's mother, Martha Maria Seale, may have been a sister of George Seale of the Blenheim area and it may have been through a visit with the Seale's that Frank met Maud Winter. Frank appears to have had a brother who died shortly after marrying Lilian Booth, born in Shefford, Quebec to and Sarah Booth. Lilian, given as Widow, married Henry Hubert Wood on 6 Jan 1892 in Birtle, witnesses were George Seale, Arthur Vibert and Isabella Seale[3].
