Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile.

I am a musician and collector of antique pianos. I've spent ten years trying to find any info regarding the final resting place of John C. Fox. I own and have restored one of the instruments built by his company in Kingston Ontario. I am collaborating with the Canadian Piano Museum on a book but can find no information after his death in Jan. 1868. His widow, Mary Elizabeth Fox became executrix of the estate in February 1868 but can find no further evidence of her or the infant son. Found probate records in Toronto archives but nothing after March 1868. Newspaper clippings stated that his body was taken across the ice to Wolfe Island then transferred to a conveyance to continue to Cape Vincent New York. Papers said he was to be buried in New York City. Can find no other evidence. HELP!
Just checking in with a few quick tips
