Marriage

15 year old Violet Seaman married 27 year old miner William Francis McClelland on 16 April 1881 in the house of John Hennessy at Millchester, Kennedy North, Queensland.

They had about eight children before William Francis McClelland died in 1897.

Violet McClelland and Thomas Bowen had three children.

Marriage

At the age of 34 Violet McClelland married, secondly, 32 year old Joseph Henry Pryor (a Miner of Miner Street) on 29 September 1900 at Charters Towers:

PRYOR-McCLELLAND.- On the 29th of September, at St. Paul's Church, by the Rev. Joseph Pike, Joseph Henry Pryor, of Wendron, Cornwall, to Violet McClelland (widow) of the late W. F. McClelland, both of Charters Towers.

Violet petitioned for divorce on 8 October 1913 on the grounds of desertion and adultery.

Marriage

At the age of 46, Violet Pryor married, lastly, Walter Thomas Hearn on 13 June 1914.

In the 1919 Australia Electoral Rolls (1903-1980) Violet Hearn was recorded living at Bow Street, Charters Towers, Kennedy, Queensland with her husband Walter, who was a Machinist.

Death

Violet passed away on 29 February 1920 due to carcinoma of the breast and carcinoma of the brain. Eight of her children were still living at the time of her death.
