Michael Schroeder

There is a lot of confusion and many conflicts in this profile regarding possible husbands (John and/or Thomas Combs) and their descendants. The bio for John Combs (Combs-2701) helps some but does not resolve these conflicts. The fact that one of both apparent brothers can be found in both Hempstead and in Freehold NJ does not help. I can't declare Elizabeth Seaman's marriage(s) "uncertain," but I will add an "uncertain" to daughter Elizabeth's (Combs-895) mother as "uncertain" until this can be resolved (if ever). As an aside, her profile has Hannah Barker as her mother, which is also uncertain.

Diane Matthews

It looks like I added this Elizabeth Seaman as the wife of John Combs (Combs-2701). I will look through my paper records and see if there is any source. Also, I will remove Long Island City as her birthplace, as that was not a place until 1870.
