Rosella Day. S. "Susie" Day, 74, 3008 30th St., Rock Island, Ill., died at4:05 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 1997, at Trinity East Medical Center in Moline, Ill.
Born July 18, 1923, in Burlington, she was the daughter of James Fred and Norma Welsch Seaman. On Sept. 29, 1946, she married T. Earl Day in Burlington. He died May 12, 1988. She then married Gordon Walton on June3, 1989, in Rock Island.
Mrs. Day was a meat wrapper for 20 years at the former Geifman Food Stores before retiring in 1984.
She was a member of 15th Avenue Christian Church and United Food and Commercial Workers Union International. She enjoyed reading.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ted C. Day of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Dale L. Day, Clinton; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Fern McCoy of Burlington; and two brothers, Charles Seaman of Houston, Mo., and Harold Seaman of Williamsburg, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her first husband.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Knox-Larson Funeral Home, 2106 Seventh Ave., Rock Island.
The funeral for Mrs. Day will be 11 a.m. Monday at Knox-Larson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Rock Island.
A memorial has been established for 15th Avenue Christian Church. 1
