Note: From Early generations of the Search Family (by Firlein/Parsley rev. 11/85) Since we found a conflict of his birth date & that of his brother Elijah, we have chosen to assume he was born four years ealier than given in the Bible records., i.e., on 26 Oct 1767 ! If this conjecture is correct, it solves a problem which has been a long-standing concern. Given the 1771 birth year, William would have been only thirteen when he fathered his oldest child, Martin Search, Jr., He married Mary Ann Rose about 1784 they were parents of at least ten children. He died 4-14-1840. Descendants of William & Mary Ann Search are found in Morris and Sussex Co., NJ. & in Ohio.
