Melvinia[1] Sears was born 15 Dec 1849. She was the eldest daughter of David Sears and Matilda Fillmore. Melvinia was born in Maine, although her parents and all of her siblings were born in New Brunswick. In 1850, the family was living in Lubec, Maine.[2] By the time of the 1851 census, they had moved back to New Brunswick.
Melvinia married Wesley Estabrooks in August 1870.[3] She was enumerated twice in the 1871 census - with her parents, and with her husband and his parents. Also living with Wesley & Melvinia in 1871 was a Mark Sears, age 8. Relationship unknown.
She died in 1928 and was buried in the Midgic Cemetery.[4]
