Melbourne Sears was born on May 9, 1854 in Midgic, Sackville Parish, Westmorland Co., New Brunswick [1] the son of David Sears and Matilda Fillmore. He married Elizabeth Hicks on October 31, 1876.[2]
In 1911, Melbourne was widowed and living with his daughter Nada and her family.
