In 1850, David and Matilda were living in Lubec, Maine, where their first child was born.[3] They were living in the same house as John Fillmore and Charlotte Sears. What's the relationship between David and Charlotte? What about Matilda and John?
By the time of the 1851 Census, David and Matilda were back in New Brunswick, where the rest of their children were born. In 1861, David owned 60 acres of land, of which 20 acres were improved farmland. The cash value of the farm was $800, with another $40 worth of implements and machinery. He owned 1 horse, 2 milk cows, 2 working oxen, 2 other cattle, 15 sheep and 4 pigs.[4]
David died on April 7, 1900 and was buried in the Midgic Cemetery.[5]
