Silas Sears was born to Silas and Elizabeth West Sears in 1788 in Wethersfield, Windsor Vermont.
Silas Sears married twice: first, to Abigail "Nabby" Page, daughter of Thomas Page and Abigail Dustin Page, in Cambridge, Vermont 3 July 1812. The couple had sons Thomas Page Sears - born 1813 - and Elias Green Sears born in Coventry in 1823. He married, second, Anna H. Dodge, 9 October 1853 in Coventry, Vermont.
Silas served Coventry, Vermont in several capacities: as Selectman in 1825 and as Constable in 1830, 1834, 1835, and 1840. He served Orleans County as High Bailiff in 1847 and 1850.
Silas and Anna moved to Underhill sometime in 1859. They were dismissed by the Congregational Church in Coventry Feb 3, 1859 to Underhill. Silas had united with the church in 1831.
Silas Sears died at 85 years of age in Underhill, Vermont in 1873.
