Biography

Ethel was born in 1877. She passed away about 1948,

Note: NB, a14y (1891 Sals).

Research Notes

Ethel was from Havelock, which is in Kings County. The only Ethel Sears in New Brunswick in 1891 was in Salisbury which is in Westmorland County. However, parts of Havelock, notably Hicksville, spill across the border into Salisbury Parish. The Sears have many cousins in Hicksville, so that is likely where they lived. District 24, Sub-district F is the parish of Salisbury. Notice that in the Census, all of their neighbours were named Hicks, further corroborating that the Sears family lived in that part of the parish.
