Lottie Frances Sears was born in 1884 in Iowa to parents born in Illinois.
Lottie Frances Sears married Nelson "Ned" Coy before 1915, and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where the family owned a dairy farm in 1930 at the corner of 38th Avenue (Clearview Avenue) North and 34th Street, as recorded on the 1930 United States Federal Census. This property was also near the railroad line running south to Saint Petersburg, and probably not far from Lealman Station.
Lottie Frances Sears and her husband Nelson "Ned" Coy had two children:
Lottie Frances Sears lost her husband Nelson in 1928, when her sons were 12 and 6 years of age.
Lottie Frances Sears passed away in 1975 at the age of 90 years. She is buried in Sunnyside Cemetery, on 54th Avenue North in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
NOTE: Lottie's son William owned Coy's Market and Deli on the northeast corner of 38th Avenue near 34th Street (US 19) in the 1950s and 1960s. with his wife Hazel D. Coy.
