Ellen was born in 1908. She was the daughter of Thomas Sears and Ellen Saint. She passed away in 1993.

They retired to E Dennis in 1980 She recalls that when they lived on 6A (at the foot of Sears Rd, N side) she had to go up the hill to brings the cows home from Cedar Pond. She says Mercy Howes was a boarder in their front room( Mercy Sears No. 2724, was Knyvett Howes mother and was blind at the time). Ellen's father Walter had 21 kinds of apple trees on the property. The house was built about 1800.
