Alfred Robert Sears, the son and eldest child of James Sears and Ella Curtis, was born December 15, 1920, at 15 Booth Road in Methuen, Massachusetts.[1][2]
In 1940 at age 19, he was living with his parents and working as a "Laborer" in a Cotton Mill.[3]
On August 11, 1942, he enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Devens, Massachusetts.[4]
He married Catherine Mary Wood on September 22, 1951. They had four children: Robert, Paul J., James and Elizabeth.[5][6]
Alfred Sears died in Boston, Massachusetts, on December 22, 1982, aged 62.[5][7]
