Biography

John was born in 1872. He is the son of Theron Secor and Catherine Schmid. He was engaged in various business pursuits, including running a general merchandise store in Checotah, McIntosh, Oklahoma, up to 1911.[1] He also worked as a carpenter and building contractor. He lived in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, in about 1949.

Marriage and family

  1. He married Myrtle Mae Carter, 24 Nov 1905, in Vanderburgh, Indiana. Child: Ray Theron Secor.
  2. He married Pearl (Perminter) Scales in 1911, in Oklahoma.[2][3]
  3. He married Gladys Evelyn Bond in 1924.

Death and burial

John Arthur Secor passed away at age 78, in St. Petersburg, Florida.[4][5] He is interred in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.[6]
