George Seddon was born in Preston, Lancashire, England.
George Seddon was born in 1843 in Preston, Lancashire, England, the son of Richard Seddon and Ann Wareing. [1]
In 1851 George was with his parents and siblings on Lower Pitt Street, Preston. His father was an iron and brass moulder. [1]
His father died in 1860. In 1861 George was living with his mother and siblings in Preston. He was a moulder. [2]
On 25 February 1866, in St Paul's church, Warrington, he married Hannah Jane Tilley, a spinster. Witnesses were Thomas Seddon and Mary Jane Wright. [3]
Jane already had 2 sons when she married; Richard and WIlliam Tilley. The two boys assumed the Seddon surname.
In 1871 George was lliving in Allwoods Buildings, Salford, Lancashire with his wife and 3 children. He was a moulder. [4]
In 1881 George was in Mount Pleasant, Salford with his wife and 4 children.[5]
