Biography
Harry was born in 1881 in Bolton, Lancashire. He was the eldest son of nine children of William Seddon and Nancy Sterratt. The family moved to Manchester where Harry became leader of 46th Company Blackley & Harpurhey Special Police Reserve. He was awarded a CBE in 1919 (NYHons). By the time of his death in 1944 he had become Managing Director of R&J Hill Ltd (tobacco) and lived in London and Manchester. He was cremated in Machester with a simultaneous service of remembrance at Wesley's Chapel, City Rd, London on 12th Oct.
