William was born in about 1853 in Windle, St Helens, Lancashire, England to William Carter Seddon and Josephine (Moult) Seddon. His birth was registered in Prescot, Lancashire in the first quarter of the year. ^[1]

He was christened on 27 Mar 1853 in St Helens.^[2]

His mother Josephine Seddon passed away in 1854.

His father William Carter Seddon married Ellen Johnson in 1869.

In 1871 William Henry Seddon (age 18, Chemist) lived at New Market Place in Windle with his father William Carter (47, Printer), stepmother Ellen (35), sister Josephine (19), half-brother Henry J (1), and servant Elizabeth Pennington (20, Domestic Servant).^[3]

William Henry Seddon married Mary Helen Watchorn in 1879. The marriage was registered in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire in the second quarter of the year.^[4]

William Henry Seddon passed away in 1897, aged 43 years. His death was registered in Hackney in the first quarter of the year.^[7]
