William was born about 1564.
His son was Robert Seely. William's wife, Robert's mother, died and William remarried on October 12, 1614 to Briget Hills, a widow with a daughter Anne who married a Fiske. William and Briget had a son William who married Margaret Brenham on January 14, 1638 - they had a daughter Margarett by 1641.
Robert Seely was apprenticed in the Cordwainers' Company of London on March 10, 1623 to serve seven years, but was freed between August 1, 1626 and July 17, 1627. He married Mary, the widow of Walter Mason on December 15, 1626.
The will of William Seeley the elder, joiner was found at the parish of Bluntisham cum Earity, a joint parish about seven miles from Huntingdon town. Two witnesses of which two were found to be constables); a marriage record of William Seley and Bridget Hills; a marriage record of William Sealey and Margaret Brenham; and a burial record of "Grand. Seley" which might be the William Seeley mentioned in the wil of William Seeley the Elder.
