Robert Galbraeth Seeley, was the son of Major Isaac Seely and Elizabeth Hunt. Robert was an officer of the U.S. Army during the War of 1812 and was killed during an engagement. His sister Elizabeth b. abt 1788 married to Henry Vethake and resided in Philadelphia, PA. Robert's date of birth is estimated from the age of this sister and that of his widow, Mary Gray.
