Biography

Joseph Albert Seidenstricker was born Thursday, September 11, 1879 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the tenth of eleven children born to Charles J. Seidenstricker, Sr. (Saturday, August 5, 1843 - Saturday, November 17, 1917) and Philomena Schauer (1847 - Tuesday, June 25, 1895). Joseph married Dora Marie Hellriegel Seidenstricker. In 1918 he was a shell maker for Standard Manufacturing Co. In 1920 he was a salesman in a department store. At the time of his death at the age of 44 he was a salesman for the James B. Haines Dry Goods store. The cause of his death in Pittsburgh on Saturday, December 8, 1923 was chronic parenchymatous nephritis, inflammation of the kidneys. Interment was at North Side Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA.
