Ida was born in 1846 at Chester le Street, Durham, England the daughter of Leopold Selby and Mary Ker (Reid) Selby, and her birth was registered in the 2nd quarter 1846.[1]
1851 Census on the 30th March 1851 Ida was living at 7 Oxford Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, parish of Saint Andrew, Northumberland, England with her parents Leopold and Mary, and her siblings Thomas, Leopold and Daniel.[2][3]
1861 Census on the 7th April 1861 Ida was living in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland with her parents Leopold and Mary, and her siblings Thomas, Leopold and Daniel. Leopold's mother Ann Selby was also living there.[4]
On the 24th January 1871 Ida married Thomas Arthur Reid at St Andrew's, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England. She was described as single, the daughter of Leopold.[5]
1871 Census on the 2nd April 1871 Ida was living at 3 Wardle Terrace, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland with her husband Thomas. William Deacon a shipbroker aged 45, was visiting there.[6]
1881 Census on the 3rd April 1881 Ida was living at 3 Wardle Terrace, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland with her husband Thomas, and their children Christian, Mary and Arthur.[7]
1891 Census on the 5th April 1891 Ida was living at 3 Wardle Terrace, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland with her husband Thomas, and their children Christian, Mary and Arthur.[8]
1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 Ida a widow, was living at 1 Wardle Terrace, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland with her children Mary Reid aged 35, and Arthur Selby Reid aged 32.[9]
Ida, of 33 Claremont Place, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, died aged 80 on the 24th November 1926 and her death was registered in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumberland, England.[10][11]
Probate of Ida's estate, £1085 11s. 10d., was processed on the 17th January 1927 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland and passed to her children Mary Reid and Arthur Selby Reid.[12]
