Mrs. Walters of Brooklyn dies at age 78

Mrs. Bessie Sellers Walters, 78, of Brooklyn, died this morning at Methodist Hospital.

Arrangements will be announced by Hulett Funeral Home. The body will be at the family home.

Mrs. Walters was a life-long resident of Brooklyn and a member of the Black Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Johnny Walters, three daughters. Mrs. Dovie Mixon and Mrs. Bessie Daughdrill, both of Brooklyn, and Mrs. Valine Wilson of Crystal Springs; a son, Johnny Walters, Jr., of Picayune; three sisters, Mrs. Ina [sic s/b Iva] Martin of Brooklyn, Mrs. Ida Mae Blackledge of Bond and Mrs. Ruth Mize of Texas; two brothers, James L. Sellers of Pascagoula and David Sellers of Bond; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.^[2]
