Heinrich Sellen, also spelled "Henrich Zellen" by his own signature.
There is a christening record for Henrich Zellen on 17 Oct 1666 at Evangelisch Krefeld, Rheinland, Prussia; parents are Jacob and Merriken Zellen.[1] This record is often cited as belonging to the identical Henrich Zellen as the immigrant, but proof is lacking.

Markje Sellen and Henrich Zellen were witnesses at the marriage ceremony for Henry Frey Frey-216 and Anna Catharine Levering Levering-17 on the 26th day of the second month, 1692 at Germantown. Henrich signed his own name, and Markje made her mark.[2]
Henrich Sellen had at least two wives, possibly three. The ones we know of are
Mary the first wife: with her he had children Peter, Jacob, Maria Indehoven, John, Adam, Barbara Tyson and Elizabeth Van Fossen.
His second wife was Margaret and with her he had children Anthony, Abraham, Esther Bankert, Henry, Jr. and Catherine Ulrich.
Henrich Sellen immigrated to Colonial America in 1685; in 1698 made the trip back again; then returning to Pennsylvania crossing the Ocean 3 times,[3] Henrich Sellen was one the original founders of Germantown, and one of the first trustees of for the Mennonite Church on the Skippack, during his life he was an attorney, a business man and an oil Miller.[4]
Henrich Sellen died in 1749, and was possibly buried on his farm.[5]

However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Heinrich:
Heinrich Sellen is my 6th great grandfather. I am enjoying reading all the research the managers of Sellen-7 have done. I never knew he was an attorney and a businessman or oil miller. Thanks so much for the research.
