Biography

John was born probably in Branford. one of four children. They were all baptized 10 August 1651 in the Church of New Haven "by virtue of the Communion of Churches".

Their names were: Jonathan, Hannah, Thomas, and John, "children of Jonathan Sargants a member of the church of Branford."[1]

His inventory was taken on 26 February 1677/78 and recorded in New Haven.[2] His brother Thomas was granted administration of the estate. John's estate was to be distributed between his brother and sister.

History of the Colony of New Haven to Its Absorption Into Connecticut has more details for John in its family sketch, [1] but it looks better used as a starting point.

Mother died 1651, father died in Connecticut

Jonathan b. New Jersey 1670. ?? The logic doesn't work.
