Biography

Friederich Wilhelm was born in 1711. He is the son of Christianus Servis and Margretha Elisabetha De Bruen.

Neuwied Familienbuch record for Friedrich Wilh Zerwas son of Christian and Marg Elis de Breun gives dob Aug. 2 1711. Nothing further.

Note: it is proposed that around the time of his emigration and after the death of brother Wilhelmus Friederich was known as Wilhelm or William.

Jones (1991) cites Neuwied Ref. chbk for dob for Friederich Wilhelm. Nothing further (p. 268).

PA record for Philadelphia marriage July 6 1734 for Elizabeth Deeble and William Servis.

In a monthly record of a Quaker meeting in Philadelphia Jan. (?) 26 1736 Elisabeth Servis (late Feebly [?]) is disowned by the meeting for marriage to William Servis “a person not of our society”.

Bussard (2007) identifies this Frederick as the resident of Montgomery Co. in 1790, names his wife only as Elizabeth and lists 9 children with further information on 7 (p. 575):

  • Frederick
  • William - [Ambiguity]
  • George / Jurry
  • Maria
  • Lena
  • Daniel - [Nothing further]
  • Catrina
  • Henry, a jobber
  • Richard born about 1776

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Wilhelm by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Wilhelm:

Does anyone have any good leads on a source for this Busk name for Frederick’s wife? I’m still tracking the Feebly name.

Servos-33 and Servis-42 appear to represent the same person because: These details all belong to one person. The LNAB is slightly more likely to be Servis.
